Latest VoIP Demo Phone Solution

Over the coming months we will be posting interesting VoIP demo applications potential new customers have asked us to create. Generally these requests are from companies who have used the same phone system throughout the years and have simply either outgrown them or feel the need to upgrade.

Our latest demo application is a very unique one.

The client has two offices located in two different states with roughly the same amount of users in each location. The customers stated main goal is to create a “unified system so my employee’s can communicated more easily internally.” Another driving factor stemmed from an upcoming office move from one building to another just down the street. They understood that moving presented an opportunity to consider upgrading their phone system.

We were very eager to design an application for them to address both of these key factors as well as to point out some additional items worth consideration.

To review, the customer’s key factors for researching VoIP:

1. Create a unified system for both offices
2. Replacing aging hardware during a physical move

Additional items they considered:

• Auto Attendant to answer all calls for distribution internally.
• Call phone integration for traveling employee’s.
• Voicemail to email

Our demo phone solution is now installed in the office locations in different states. We now have a working demo environment that allows each office to “extension” dial one another just as if they were in the same physical location. They can now seamlessly transfer calls from one office to the other and effectively leverage their entire employee skill sets across both offices.

We  also provided a high-level hardware VoIP system quote that they told us is roughly 40% less expensive than the analog Mitel system they are also considering.

Week 1 of the demo is going very well and the voicemail-to-email feature is a huge hit.
