2 Things You Want to Make Sure Your Phone System Has

Buying your phones with 1Wire does not only mean upgraded technology for your office, it also means the ability to do more from anywhere. Here, we are going to illuminate two ways on how you can be sure you’re getting the most out of your phone system.

Many companies realize how helpful having a click to dial option can be for them. The click to dial feature 1Wire has developed is very simple and is designed to work hand in hand with your phone system and reporting tool.  By using our click to dial application we are eliminating any third party option that often loses call information allowing for your reporting tool to run accurately. This feature also allows you to choose how you would like to be able to view numbers on your browser depending on your needs. You have the option to have any phone number that shows up on your screen to be automatically highlighted with a clickable link that helps companies making many calls from their browser do so with ease. On the other hand you can remove the highlights, making no change to what you see on your browser page, and instead highlight the number you would like to call by clicking and dragging, then right clicking on the number and choose the “dial” option you see in the drop down. This option allows employees who work with many numbers that may not be phone numbers to avoid accidentally clicking and dialing a non-phone number.

Couple this feature with the soft-phone option that we will explain down below, and you essentially create a virtual extension with click to dial options from anywhere as if you were on your physical phone at the office. Check out the video below to get information on how to set up the application on your browser. The video will prompt you to input credentials from your phone system. If you need those credentials, feel free to contact us either by phone or email and we will be happy to provide you with your specific information.

2.Zoiper Soft-phone

Whether or not you plan on working away from your desk, just to have the option of having your desk phone accessible anywhere is of value. A soft-phone alternative does not have to replace the features and comfort of a physical phone you may enjoy, but instead enable you to transition to any physical location if you experience a power outage or need to work from another location for various reasons. Even if not used, having a soft-phone application available to you just because you have a phone system with 1Wire gives you options, and having options especially in unplanned moments will always be more valuable than not having options. But simply having the option in emergencies is not the highlight of the soft-phone application. With the ability to connect your extension to a virtual phone either on your desktop, laptop, or your cell phone you can make and receive calls as though you were at your desk from anywhere with an internet connection. Forgot to change your voicemail or auto attendant message while on vacation? By logging into your extension via a soft-phone, you can call into your system the same as though you were in the office.

Watch the video below to be guided on how to set up your extension with a soft-phone application. Again, the video will prompt you to put in sensitive information particular to your phone system. If your organization has not yet acquired that information, feel free to contact us and we will be glad to help you.
